Jesus didn’t die for our sins so that we can keep living in them. No, He died for our sins so that, one, we won’t die in our sins; and two, when we are alive in Him, we are empowered to die to our sins. "Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus" (Romans 6:11).
