SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS DAMNS | CHRIST'S RIGHTEOUSNESS REDEEMS

Self-righteousness damns. And only Christ’s righteousness redeems. In other words, so many believe they will be saved by their good works in life, but the Bible explains how we are only saved by God's work in Christ. This doesn't mean we shouldn't do good works, but it does mean that our works aren't good unless they are born out of the work of God. So, “Is it faith or works,” some reply. It’s faith that works, placed in God’s finished work. Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent” (John 6:28-29).
