There is only one thing more painful than waiting on the Lord, and that is not waiting on the Lord. You see, to wait on the Lord may bring a weight upon our soul, but such weight is also the necessary force that strengthens our faith while we wait. Conversely, when we don't wait on the Lord, there will eventually be a similar weight upon us, but this weight doesn't strengthen, it strangles. “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him” (Lamentations 3:25).
