There will be moments when following Christ requires standing alone. In those times, remember that standing with Christ, even in solitude, is far greater than blending into the crowd and losing your way. The crowd may tempt you to compromise, but true peace and purpose are found only in faithfully walking with Jesus. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it" (Matthew 16:25).

Your strength isn’t in what you can do; it’s in what Christ can do through you. And without His strength empowering us through our "work week," then our own strength will continue to make us weak in our work. You see, true power is found in surrender—when we step aside and let His strength work through us, His grace becomes our greatest asset. "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

In the noise and busyness of life, remember this: God works most powerfully in us when we rest most completely in Him. So "cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7), and let His peace guide your pace.

We cannot stand in the power of Christ unless we first receive the pardon of Christ. His grace removes guilt, His love conquers fear, and His power sustains us from life's first cry to final breath. As the song declares: “No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me. From life's first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck me from His hand. Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I'll stand.” ‍Merry Christmas from Truth Over Trend.

Christmas is more than a baby in a manger—it’s about a Savior who chose to walk where we walk, feel what we feel, and carry what we could never bear. Immanuel means "God with us," and Jesus didn't just cry our tears or wear our skin; He breathed our air and bore our sin. Yes, we celebrate His birth, but more so, we live because He died our death. "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). This week, let’s marvel at the miracle of His presence and the power of His sacrifice.
