A STONE, A SLING, AND A SAVIOR

The Shepherd doesn’t just prepare the table — He prepares the victory (Psalm 23:5). When David stepped onto the battlefield, Goliath was already defeated — he just didn’t know it yet. David didn’t come with a sword or a shield; he came with a stone, a sling, and a Savior who had already gone ahead of him. The battle was won before David even picked up the stone, because the victory belongs to the Lord. "The battle is the Lord’s" (1 Samuel 17:47).
