AT THE MERCY OF GOD

Reconciliation is the exchange of relation that takes us from being at the mercy of God, to receiving the mercy of God. In other words, we were at war against God because of our sin and we deserved to die. And yet, Jesus went to war against sin and gave us life. "For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life" (Romans 5:10).
