CHRIST AND THE CROSS: WE NEED BOTH

Too many want a cross-less Christ or a Christ-less cross, but you cannot have one without the other. You see, Christ without the cross leaves us in our sins; and the cross without Christ leaves us without salvation. Both are necessary for the gospel to be life-transforming. "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" (Galatians 6:14).
