God’s peace is a pillow. With it, we rest. Without it, we rust. In other words, when we have God's peace, it doesn't matter what is happening around us because God's peace is stronger within us. We rest. Conversely, without God's peace, we begin to take on the chaos around us as it erodes our soul within us. We rust. "I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me" (Psalm 3:5).
