HOW CAN WE BE PRAYERFUL?

Prayerfulness begins with helplessness. In other words, the power of prayer begins when we are honest about our human weakness. How our inadequacy desperately needs God's sufficiency; how our impotence must depend upon God's omnipotence. If we think we can do life on our own, it is doubtful that we will be prayerful. "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men..." (1 Timothy 2:1).
