HOW CAN WE "GIVE THANKS" WHEN LIFE HITS HARD?

How is it possible to “give thanks” when our circumstances are screaming the opposite? The Word of God instructs us to “give thanks in everything” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), not necessarily for everything. We give thanks not because every situation is good, but because God is able to work everything together for good, as promised in Romans 8:28. When we trust that God is sovereign and that His purposes are beyond what we can see, we can find gratitude even in the hardest times, knowing that He is always at work for our ultimate good and His ultimate glory.
