Idol worship is the result of being idle in worship toward the One we were wired to worship. In other words, the only way to keep from idol worship (anything that takes God's place) is to engage in ideal worship, which is giving God His rightful place over all of our time and space. "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen" (I John 5:21).
