To forgive doesn’t mean you condone the offense. To forgive means you are done being offended. It means you are willing to let go of the hurt so that bitterness doesn’t grow in the heart. It means that you believe the cross of Christ is sharp enough to cut the cord of bitterness and sure enough to offer forgiveness. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32).
