The Christian should not be flirting with the same evil they are supposed to be either fleeing or fighting. You see, to entertain sin is to invite spiritual compromise, weakening our resistance against the very forces we're called to stand against. Instead, we are called to pursue righteousness and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from us when we stand firm in the faith. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
