TAKING ROOT WHERE PLANTED

As believers, we need to take root where we have been planted. This means we grab earth, while not allowing earth to grab us. In other words, we stand firm on the ground of truth without allowing the sinking sand of lies to pull down our lives. We need to be oaks of righteousness as we remain rooted and built up in Christ Jesus. "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ" (Colossians 2:6-8).
