THE GOAL OF BEING CITIZENS OF HEAVEN

The goal of being citizens of heaven on earth is not to make earth heaven but to bring heaven to earth. And like salt, our ingredient is only potent when we maintain our integrity. Because compromised salt is good for nothing but to be trampled on. Therefore, as ambassadors of Christ living in exile, we do our city the greatest good by sharing the hope of the Gospel and not conforming to its evil. "And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace" (Jeremiah 29:7).
