THE IMAGE OF GOD IN MAN | JOURNEYING BACK TO EDEN

The image of God in man, that was marred by sin, is mended in Christ. And that is why sanctification is really just a journey back to Eden, where the image of God in man finds its original plan. You see, as image bearers of God, our role and goal in the world is to be "fruitful" and faithful to the Gospel, and "multiply" and make disciples. "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it..." (Genesis 1:27-28).
