In a world of irritation, infestation, and spiritual noise, the Shepherd’s anointing calms the mind and protects the soul. Just like a shepherd anoints a sheep’s head to keep flies from laying eggs that torment the sheep, Jesus covers our minds to guard us from the lies that infest our peace. His anointing isn’t just soothing — it’s shielding. In a world where irritation spreads like infection, His oil keeps the soul steady and the spirit strong. "You anoint my head with oil…" (Psalm 23:5).
