THE RECYCLING OF SUFFERING

Because the world is fallen, we witness a cycle of suffering—from Adam and Eve to the current state of creation. We face unnatural diseases and natural disasters; from pain and shame to things that are inhumane. The world is fractured. Yet, because our Lord is risen and sovereign, we also see a recycling of suffering through Christ and the cross, reversing the curse of sin. And as believers, we can have hope in any crisis because Jesus transformed suffering for our benefit and purpose. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
