THOSE WHO LOVE DARKNESS HATE LIGHT

Those who love darkness will naturally hate the light because the light exposes their deeds for what they truly are—evil. And this hatred of the light is not merely a passive dislike but an active rejection, as the light challenges the darkness and brings it to account. That is why the wicked prefer darkness because it allows them to continue in their evil without facing the convicting truth of God’s holiness. "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" (John 3:19).
