If sinful man does not turn back now, there is no going back later. In other words, God is not slack concerning His promise to return and judge, as some count slackness. But rather, He is longsuffering toward us, which means His love is long and His suffering was for us. And He desires all men to come to repentance. Again, if sinful man does not turn back now, there is no going back later. "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
