a NATION-WIDE TEMPER TANTRUM

It’s really amazing to see so many, thousands upon thousands, “protesting” after the election. To protest means to express disapproval of or objection to something…or someone. Unfortunately, since the outcome is already determined, these anti-Trump protesters are doing nothing more than exercising their freedom to throw a nation-wide temper tantrum.  I compare it to ‘acting out’ on the athletic field because you think the referee made the wrong call.  It looks sad and distasteful.Not to mention that some of this protesting borders on anarchy, which is a reflection of an underlying manifestation of what is already taking place in the soul. There is NO PEACE for such protestors. They have no rest in their spirit, so they wreak havoc in the natural.  If you peel away the layers of what’s really going on in the hearts and minds of these young people, you quickly realize that Donald Trump being elected President isn’t the cause of their unrest. No. The catalytic cause of their unrest isn’t found in a person or a system, but in the lack of self-control and wisdom.Proverbs 25:28 states, “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”  And because their spirits aren’t ruled or refereed by the Holy Spirit, they become so far out of sync that the brokenness of their souls spills out into the openness of the world.  Anarchy within produces anarchy without.Please know this is NOT a President Donald Trump endorsement. This isn’t about a person. It’s been deeper than that for quite awhile now. It’s about unrest in souls and how Jesus is the only One who can heal a land and a heart. We are just seeing the evidence of this more clearly-- the actual state of lost lives that lack love. Hate and violence never once accomplished anything productive in this world. And no pun intended, but love trumps hate every single time.

Of course there is a time to protest and even a right way to do so. But destroying property, disregarding laws, and assaulting police does not fall under this guise.  And until these types of protestors find the Spirit of Truth in Christ, they will continue to march on to the beat of the spirit of lies.
