"i invite YOU in": BAD WINE!

The New Year is upon us, and for me personally, nothing has changed except the date. I was living for Jesus in 2014 and I do NOT plan on ceasing in 2015.Of course the New Year brings with it new seasons and new reasons to attack life, but without Jesus writing your game plan, then this new season will turn into new reasons for life to attack you. You see, when the 12 turns to a 1, we resolve to change “this” or do “that.”  But if the mentality from December to January does not repent (which means to make an about face in heart and mind), then there will be nothing new except the time. And new time with an old mind equals “bad wine.”That’s why Jesus said new wine must be held in a new wineskin.   If new wine were poured into an old wineskin, then the expansion of the wine would burst the tension of the skin. And that is precisely why there must be flexibility in mind to receive the responsibility of the time. In other words, a New Year’s Resolution sounds good, but unless there’s a renewal of the mind as the solution to unlock the newness of the soul, then nothing new will come by way of that goal.I do not claim to have all the answers, but I do claim to have a personal relationship with the Answer. And with His timing as my calendar—whether January, February, some time in November, or on the 31st of December—I will always be celebrating a new thing. “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” (Isaiah 43:18-19).God wants to do a new thing in all of our lives and He is not held to a New Year. However, His plan in our lives is held up when we don’t have new minds to handle the new “wines” that He desires to pour into us.So don’t let the date dictate how you use your time.  Allow God to determine how He wants you to use His time.  It’s borrowed time anyway, and one day we will be required to account for it.  So when the 24 hours, the 7days, or the month expires, YOUR HEART is what carries over and that is truly all that God desires.   Don’t let the date be the only thing that gets turned over. Turn over your heart and habits today!
