I must say --with all humility-- that I do not care who follows me on social media. I obviously take these platforms seriously based on the content of my posts and pictures and I hope whoever is following me feels as if I am leading them somewhere worthwhile. It is truly my intent to instigate integrity, inspire initiative, and infuse insight through these vehicles. And I get it, everyone wants as many followers as possible when it comes to these channels -- more followers equals more popularity…I guess.I am not trying to lose followers, and my desire is not to gain followers ‘for myself’ either. If I am going to gain “followers” it is solely to point them to the ONE we all need to follow--our Savior. Why am I writing in such a direction? Well, recently I’ve noticed that I have lost a few followers on Instagram. But not just followers, they were family members and friends. Just a few. However, a few are enough to wonder, “What did I do?”I’ll tell you what I did. I didn’t follow them back after they chose to follow me. The reason: Upon looking at their posts, there was nothing valuable to follow. You see, they wanted me to follow them but they were not willing to lead me anywhere. So here’s my point: If we have followers in any area of life and we are not leading them to Jesus Christ, then we are pseudo-leaders leading them to a path of a nowhere life. And a nowhere life is a purposeless life. So if you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, I greatly appreciate your support and friendship. Please continue to allow my faith to move your faith. I do not claim to be the best leader, but I will publicly claim to be an instigator. Continue to “read” me and I will continue to challenge you. And together we can grow through our different challenges. Twitter: @mattmaherstoryInstagram: matthewmaher7
