It is not my desire for people to hear or see me; it is my earnest prayer that wherever I am called to speak, that the audience would SOLELY hear and see Jesus in me.I am nothing more than a broken man just following Gods perfect plan. And He never ceases to amaze me with His grace. Now, I'm not talking about the definition of grace--unmerited favor--but I am talking about the personification of Grace-- Jesus my Savior. We aren't just "sinners saved by grace." No way! How dare we cheapen the richness of what God did to make "He who knew no sin to become sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (II Corinthians 5:21).You see, if God sent His Son to "be sin" to pay the sin debt in full, than I'm pretty sure His plan was to see us as more than just sinners. In truth actually, He now calls us sons and daughters; co-heirs with Christ. And that's not poverty, that's royalty!God the Father bankrupted heaven to send us His everything. Not to keep us as "sinners saved by grace." But to elevate us to sit with Him in a heavenly place (Ephesians 2:5-6); a place where sin and Jesus cannot co-exist. And that's the meaning behind "on earth as it is already done in heaven."We don't have to believe the misconception that we are nothing more than "just sinners." No way! I propose that we are children made BY GRACE. God knew that sin would enter in before the foundation of the world. It did not catch Him off guard nor surprise Him in the least. Thus, the Bible declares "for BY GRACE you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8).And the precious gift of God was sending Jesus as the "elevator" who is the only One that can bring us back to God. And it is BY GRACE (aka Jesus) that we have been saved through a faith that isn't even of ourselves. It's ALL Gods doing. My sin is why He came to rescue me. But a "sinner" I am no more, for the Rescuer took that sin so far from me. He took it to hell, where it belongs; so He can take me to heaven with Him, where my heart longs."Heavenly Father, I thank you for not seeing the sin in me, but for seeing the Son in me. I dare not cheapen the status of being Your child by calling myself ‘just a sinner.’ You see me as so much more than I will ever be able to consider. Remind me who I am, lest I convince myself to be who I am not. I am Yours and You are Grace. Amen."
