I WANNA BURN!

The blog heard ‘round the world. No seriously, why can’t I think this way? I mean, why shouldn’t I believe what Jesus Himself has said,  “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12).Jesus gives us the authority to believe for greater scopes of influence, to pray greater prayers that will make a difference.  I mean, if I am only settling for the means in front of me, than how dare I say I trust in the resources above me? God is willing and wanting to “do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, but here’s the starting point that allows for divine appointment—“according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20). It’s His power in us.  It’s His Word that He wants to flow through us. HE in US! So, yes, I do believe this exact blog will be heard around the world just as I believe that God expects us to believe beyond this world. We live such level lives and we are supposed to be living monumental lives. Imagine if we were actually on fire for Christ? The world would indeed come watch us burn.I wanna burn is what I’m saying. I’m gonna burn is what I’m praying. Whether through a writing or even through everyday living, it should be our passion to “have our faith reported all over the world” (Romans 1:8). When I was in prison I knew “my story” was far-reaching. So now that I’m out, I refuse to tone it down; for if I tone it down, I’m turning the volume of Gods greatness down. I refuse!I watched hard hearts completely melt in the hands of Jesus. I witnessed the same power that brought Jesus out of the grave bring dead men into living grace. It’s the same power and when we don’t believe God for greater things according to His will, than we are living well below His ability to fill in and flow out. HE in US!  I’m tired of compromising the extravagance of God’s calling over my life. He called us ALL to “greater things” and we so easily settle to just knowing things. We can quote the giant verses, but why can’t our lives quote the audaciousness of such verses.I can’t do this anymore, being so cold with cute appeals. God is inviting me to live bold knowing the truth may cut but ultimately heals.  I’m gonna speak it and I’m gonna believe Him for it. The blog heard ‘round the world! Let it be known, if you call yourself a Christian, than I challenge you to show the fire of Christ in your conviction. The world needs to see more of us burn for His glory, because without Jesus so many are gonna find burning is the beginning of their never-ending story. Unthinkable agony.So yes, I am gonna declare greater things without caring to consider boundaries.  God defied His own divinity when He entered into humanity. So please allow me to defy my own humanity by trusting radically in His awesome divinity.
