O LORD, LET the WORLD SEE YOU in ME
The Christians goal should be to be seen and have people “turn to the Lord." And what they see is not about anything you do, but what Christ has done for you or through you. Sometimes the work that Christ has done does not need to be seen first-hand, and all that is required for proof is to see the differences that were clearly made in your life. Again, the world does not have to see the miracle or witness the healing, but often the transformation is enough, that because they “saw you, they turned to the Lord.” (Acts 9:35)“Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country…..there he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed.  And Peter said to him, ‘Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.’  Then he arose immediately. So ALL who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.” (Acts 9:32-35)The people did not see the actual miracle, but they saw the man who was healed and that was enough. The result of the physical healing and change was the catalyst to several spiritual healings and transformations. The man who was once seen crippled, but now seen healed, was all that was needed for them to “see and turn to the Lord.”We must keep in mind that sometimes words are not necessary and sometimes what others see in us expresses God’s touch over any amount of words. Just be seen and have people turn to the Lord, based on the change from your past life to what they see in you now.  Imagine if we prayed such prayers, that no matter what we have gone through, and in spite of any physical, emotional, or mental paralysis, that people would see our newness of heart and turn to the Lord to seek the same healing touch of Jesus. This is a small prayer for our lives, but one that defines God's purpose for our lives.O Lord, I pray that those who see me will see the work that Your Son has done in my life. That this may not be by what I do or say, but purely by what He does and is doing through me; that the sight of the new me would inspire people to “turn to the Lord” in all they do.  I confess today O Lord, that I was once spiritually paralyzed and Jesus has healed me, so now I will “arise and make my bed.” Amen
