Anytime you decide to take a stand in LIFE, you’re going to have critics. Anytime you commit to leading the WAY, you’re going to have cynics. And anytime you unashamedly present the TRUTH, you’re going to have skeptics. What do these “ics” have in common? Well, most of the time, they don’t know the WAY that Jesus went, the TRUTH that Jesus spoke, or the LIFE that Jesus gave. They don’t know HIM; so don’t let their opinion slow you down from being all about HIM.Choose Jesus and you’ll want for nothing. Refuse Jesus and you’ll want everything, but you’ll never be satisfied by anything.I am learning more and more each day that the grace God gives isn’t for us to be liked by many. It’s actually for us to be likened to Him. He extends us His grace, like a lifeline, that we may walk the line He has laid out for our life. And when we put one foot in front of the other, Jesus comes along side of us and guides us into His character. And that’s GRACE = Gods Resources At Christ’s Expense. You see, it’s grace that makes us attractive to those who are curious; but unfortunately, that same grace is sometimes what makes us repulsive to the critics.Don’t stop and try to explain your conviction—just live it—and let God be responsible for your justification. “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence” (I Corinthians 1:27-29).Don’t you realize it’s your conviction which makes you the owner of heavens position? You can let the “ics” disown your reputation, but don’t you dare stop owning your conviction. Why? Because your conviction just may be the very passion that leads someone to eternal salvation. Yea, it’s that crucial!
