It doesn’t matter if you talk about God or not, people should know that you are set apart and biblical based on the way you live out your convictions. In other words, you can be silent but still loud for Jesus. Consider the examples we find in the book of Esther in the Bible, which, by the way, has no formal reference or mention of God. Not once. But like the characters in that book, we don’t have to verbally quote God for our lives to visually show God. Growing up, my mother would always be sure to remind me that, “I may be the only Bible somebody reads.” Essentially, she was reminding me that the world around me would be “reading” me and she was challenging me to be different and legible, according to God’s character. You see, many will not pick up the Word of God on their own, but they will pick up your example—whether good or bad—so, which one are you putting down? I often regret how many times in my past that I was a distraction and disgrace, as opposed to being an attraction to my faith. And not by anything I may have said, but simply by what I did. Again, the book of Esther is the only book out of 66 books in the whole Bible that does not mention God’s name once, but this does not mean that this book of the Bible is not effective in portraying God’s character. The entire book shows God’s providence, protection, plan, and purpose-- AND ALL without one reference to God. So what am I trying to say here? Well, we too, like the book of Esther, can speak the same language as the entire Bible, yet still be different from the rest in our verbally silent yet boldly loud approach. Ultimately, our actions (and even words) do not always need to theme GOD--and thus, “our actions will speak louder than our words” because they silently scream GOD!Talk is cheap when the walk isn’t rich in Christ. U MAY B THE ONLY BIBLE SOMEBODY READS.
