I am not telling you who to vote for because I'm not a politician, but I am encouraging you to know what you vote for because I am a Christian. With absolute certainty, this is not a Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton endorsement. They, like every other human (myself included), are flawed individuals. And as such, it is important that you check out the party platforms and see which one aligns with your biblical worldview. The next President will be appointing several Supreme Court Justices, which will impact future generations far longer than any Presidential term-- if the Lord tarries.I am so zealous about this because I was recently privileged to be at 'The Family Talk Gathering' hosted by Dr. James Dobson, and I got to hear from some of the most prestigious and Spirit filled Christian leaders in our country today. I was significantly touched by each of their viewpoints and frankly they ignited a fire under my feet. Men such as Tony Perkins, Lt. General “Jerry” Boykin, and Alabama Supreme Court Justice Glenn Murdock, who spoke from their heart, and shared their experiences from a unique front-line vantage point. It was eye-opening and heart stirring. They stressed that all voters should read the platforms on both sides of the aisles. And I did--which makes me even more zealous to implore you to do it also.I know many people who call themselves Christians, saying they are not voting this election cycle. Why? Well, because they don't like either candidate. Newsflash! Not voting for one candidate or the other benefits someone. Meaning, for the Christian, it's not about voting for the person who is most like you, but voting for the person who is not against you. This is a crazy year for sure. Moral character is lacking in both parties. But as Christians we have a responsibility to vote. Think about it! Not to vote is to actually vote. Not to stand up for truth is to actually stand around while error tears this land apart. When all is said and done, we are all responsible for our actions before God and here’s another newsflash: Our God will still be sitting on the throne the day after the election. So I implore you to prayerfully ask for our Lord’s guidance and mercy this election cycle, read the platforms and then go out and vote.
