I am currently in Paramus, NJ, where this hotel will be Sarah and mines home away from home for the next 3 days. I am up here for several assemblies at area schools, funded by State Farm, and in conjunction with the Be Still Foundation. Now that school is back in session, my speaking engagement schedule is in full throttle. I will actually be doing about 26 engagements before the New Year, not counting ministry-speaking platforms. Again, I make mention of this busyness because it is by Gods grace alone that instigating integrity is my business.I take this mission very seriously. I get to go around and interrupt the false feeling of indestructibility that so many students adopt and that which keeps their perception of reality from being actuality. I explain explicitly in my talks that they probably heard this saying before, “that perception is reality.” Then I go on to explain the definition of perception, which is their awareness, their understanding of life, and “even how you hear this message,”I say, “That is your perception.” But then I pause with a follow up question of: “But what if your perception is off? What if it’s burnt out, shot out? What if it’s distracted, distorted? What then does that make your reality?”Exactly! A shot out perception makes a far out reality. In fact, because of my false perception of an indestructible life, I wound up causing so much destruction to so many lives. See how this presentation unfolds!Anyway, I remain grateful for these opportunities and I do not take them lightly. You may think it can become quite robotic to do “my story” over and over again, and I’d say you’re right. But because it’s not just my story I’m telling—but it’s their young stories that I’m challenging—than I am able to stay pointedly passionate and passionately pointed through each assembly. Besides, it’s only “my story” if it has an ending, and by God’s grace alone, I am just getting started. After these North Jersey engagements, it’s off to Bechtelsville, PA, for a youth rally on Friday evening. Again, “I must be about My Father’s business,” making this busyness truly my gratefulness.
