We hold the key to peace, yet we can choose to be locked into it, or locked out of it. The choice is ours to behold. You see, the peace of God cannot guard the individual who is anxious about the future or regretful about the past. In other words, when we attempt to move outside of Gods will mentally, as oppose to living in the will of God presently, we are essentially moving ourselves out of liberty. It's a jailbreak from Gods peace--which is the opposite of feeling free.Simply put: "You have to leave peace, it doesn’t leave you."God knows exactly what each of us is made of--what is inside of us--and that is why He allows us uniquely to be brought to a degree that we would not bring ourselves to. He built us to be thermostats, not thermometers. Transformers, not conformers. If we are left unprovoked by our circumstances, chances are we will simply adapt to the temperature of our circumstances. (Remain in uselessness). But a loving God moves us to a degree that activates our heating or cooling system. Our emotional response: Either cool in stillness; or hot in confidence. Both are forms of faithfulness. But we can’t forget the negative degree of being neither hot nor cold--but simply lukewarm. (Lord, I don’t ever want to go there again!)All responses are our responsibility. Anyway, I realize now more than ever--in physical freedom--that when we place our hope in a resource, not the real Source, we'll always end up emotionally outsourced. Anxious is peace-less. We need to take the key of free will that God has given us and give it back to Him for His will. This exchange grants us the guardian of His peace and allows us to be free no matter what we see.You see, uncertainty and impossibility are the grounds for the miraculous. The atmosphere of expectation is stirred up when our own understanding is given up. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Some people think I left prison. Nope! Prison just left me for the peace of God to be the greatest part of me. Truthfully, God gives us the key to lock ourselves into Him or to foolishly flee from Him.Easy choice.
