Grace is the favor of salvation, mercy is the force of salvation, and peace is the fruit of salvation. Grace gives us what we don't deserve. Mercy keeps us from what we do deserve. And peace preserves us in the midst of life's circumstances. "Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord" (1 Timothy 1:2).

Man’s best can’t get him to God and man’s worst can’t keep him from God. In other words, it's not our goodness that saves us nor is it our badness that seals our eternal fate. It's only the Lord who saves us and makes us good; and it is only the Lord who salvages us and takes...

It's informative to go through the Bible. But it's transformative to allow the Bible to go through you. Therefore, let us not just read the Word, but let us have the humility to heed the Word. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).

Legacy that lasts is not what you leave someone but what you leave within someone. You see, material heritage rusts and fades, and only the spiritual impact remains. "That I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also" (2 Timothy 1:4-5).

Some think that faith allows us to force God to have our will done. But the truth be told, faith enables us to trust God for His will to be done. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, and with faith, it is possible to trust God to do what He pleases. "But without faith...

Don’t be deceived by what this world tells you and sells you. It’s most likely a counterfeit intended to destroy you. Therefore, be on guard against the waste of lies by making sure your waist is girded by the truth of God. "Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth..." (Ephesians 6:14).
