In God's economy, temporary light affliction is converted into an eternal weight of glory. With God's conversion rate, how can I complain? "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" (II Corinthians 4:17).

It is true that no matter what we pursue, without Jesus, it will lead to emptiness. And the more the flesh is gratified, the less the soul is satisfied. "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (I John 2:15).

So many say they are for God, and yet they affirm things that God is against, which makes them anti-God in their stance. You see, those who are for God are those who stand firm on the things that God is for. "And if God is for you, who can be against you?" (Romans 8:31).

The freedom of forgiveness never gets old, it only matures. You see, to remember the forgiveness of Christ not only gives you a renewed sense of God's grace, but it also strengthens your faith. Forgiveness never gets old to those who...

We are either living sacrifices unto the Lord, or we are sacrificing our lives unto the world, but we cannot do both. One way dedicates life to serving the cause of Christ, while the other dedicates life to serving the cause of self. To whom do you sacrifice? "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1).

We don't need a list of New Years resolutions. What we really need is new devotion to Christ. For it is in Him alone that every need is fully and freely met. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
